Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance if he took into account the Governor of the Central Bank's oral testimony (June 2025) to Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, and Taoiseach (FINPERT) where he claimed that the Genocide Convention applied to "the State" but not to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and that that Committee unanimously and explicitly disagreed with him in its "Report on the Israeli Bond Programme" stating that as an organ of the State, the CBI is bound by international law and the Genocide Convention.
