Terms of use

1. What this is. Said and Done is an independent, non-commercial archive of the public record of Dáil Éireann. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Houses of the Oireachtas.
2. Accuracy. We reproduce the official record faithfully and every item links to its source document, but the service is provided "as is" without warranty. The authoritative record is the Houses of the Oireachtas Official Report. If you find an error, please use our corrections policy.
3. Neutrality. The site records what was said and done. It draws no conclusions about any person, and nothing on the site should be read as a characterisation of any individual's honesty or conduct.
4. Reuse. Parliamentary data on this site (including exports) is © Houses of the Oireachtas, reused under the Oireachtas (Open Data) PSI Licence, which incorporates the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence. Reuse it freely provided you credit the Houses of the Oireachtas, retain that copyright notice, link to the licence, and indicate any changes you make. We indicate our own changes: the official XML/JSON records have been parsed into a structured database and speaker attribution has been applied; this is a transformation of the source data. The site's own code is open source under AGPL-3.0-or-later; reusing the data imposes no AGPL obligations.
5. Acceptable use. Automated access is welcome at a reasonable rate; we rate-limit to keep the service available to everyone. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or misrepresent its content as endorsed by the Oireachtas or by us.
6. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always the one published here, with the date of the last change shown.
8. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from use of the site.
9. Severability. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
